Starships: Favorite Era

Was just wondering if anyone had any particualar favorites amongst the starships? More of a fan of the underdogs? (Oberth, Nova etc) Or out and out power (Promethius, Soverign, defiant etc). Old or New?

New...defiant, akira, sovereign...the best technology...i always liked the newer cars too...but you still have to respect the old models

Cool, I would have to agree, although i am partial to Miranda and Oberth classes myself. (I always thought with an upgraded power plant etc the Oberth would make a good weapons platform lol)

I never thought of that with the Oberth. I always thought of them as the pre defiant class: As small as possible but with select equipment of Starfleet's larger vessels (depending on the missions).

I definantly like new ones better. I've always been a fan newer Klingon ships. The dark green exteriors with the "you know we're a militaristic race" designs. The dark and crowded interiors filled with warriors ready to die for the empire.... Awesome.

I can't blame you, they are interesting to look at. Not to mention at all that they can disable any vessel that gets to close to them.

I would like to live on Voyager but have access to the Simitar

I'd have to go with the Galaxy class as my favorite, but I'm also rather fond of the Constitution refit, Excelsior, Prometheus, Sovereign, and the New Orleans classes.

Geez, I can't decide.. Personally I'd have to go with the Constitutions, both prior and after refit, and Voyager. Basically, Old for me for the fact Comstitutions can warp through time at the givin command, despite being 23rd century technology, are small, but fast given their design limits, have been pushed beyond those limits many times over, and etc. As for my favorite, don't ask mee to decide between the two.

The Enterprise E also warped through time, It went back to the future under its own power with less strain than the Enterprise and Enterprise A did. It does this at the end of the movie First Contact.
