Although it isnt canon, its been explained in the technical manual that the reason the bridge in the movies looked different every time is that the bridge is actually a module that can be swapped out for refit, repair, etc.

Do you like the idea of a swap out module, or just having a static module? What other thoughts do you have. I designed one...but that will come later :)

I like looking at the various bridges people have designed on the net as well as the many we have seen in the various ST films and series.
To answer the question, I would say yes. It is logical and works.

Well, I'm still waiting on a good design for a Akira-Class bridge module.

Here is an old idea of mine...this is a generic drawing and not to scale...sorry

The idea is to have the central core cylinder within the saucer with the priority of rank starting at the bottom...this keeps the captain, first officer most protected from attack..they have a private lift to the bridge and access to the main turbolift system

engineering, medical, counselor...they are near their stations, where they would be needed most in an emergency...

I have two thoughts on this topic. I believe that the concept of having such modules makes perfect sense. I think that as science continues to evolve in the coming centuries we will see less ''static'' objects being designed as the idea of having technology be able to be more flexible,as well as serve multiple functions takes root. Rooms will be able to be easily modified so that they can be utilized for various purposes, tools won't simply perform one operation but several things. Right now we have cell phones which can also take pictures. So it seems realistic to project in the coming decades that much of our tech will take on numerous abilities & the days of machines being able to perform one & only one thing will fade away into history. So seeing continual tech alterations will become common. However, from an entertainment perspective there are instances where I don't want to see something tampered with simply because I enjoy the way it appears.

I think it was just as an excuse to cover any goofs they may have accidently made on the filming bridge sets. But the idea to have a couple of the stations be changeable is great, But it would not be a good idea during a war or in combat.

Another ting that is not canon, but is shown in the original Star Trek technical manual is that the bridge of the Constitution class is turned 30 degress to port off the ships centerline.
So I have to wonder, is that a standard design for all starships, even through TNG?

I might point out, in the movie (The Voyage Home) - it was a Klingon ship that Kirk stole and went back in time to grab the whales, Not the Enterprise - although the Enterprise has done a few sling shots around the sun in it's time.
