The social network for Star Trek Fans!

Okay, so as you could probably tell, I am a Niner! I am all about DS9!

But, I am kind of interested in the ships of the series. I mean, there was Enterprise A-D (plus the one on "Enterprise"), the Titan, The Defiant, Voyager, Excelsior, etc. (Just to name a few).....so..

What is your favorite ship and why?

I'll start the ball rolling...

My favorite ship is the USS Defiant, which was later the USS San Paulo, but they called it the Defiant also...but it was a war-class ship, it was sleek, tight-quarters, it moved fast, and the Jem Hadar had better watch their butts when this ship was in the neighborhood. So, my question...what is your favorite ship from all the series and why? Oh, and upload photos, please!!!

My favoutie ship is the Arkangel class: http://www.triple-fictionproductions.net/web_images/dfmainpagebg-2.jpg
It's the up gunned version of the Interpid class warship of Voy: Living Witness aith armour sections ansd a third nacelle which seems to balance out the design. It's also one of the best shis for Armarda 2.

That is sweet. I never thought I would ever see an aggressive looking federation vessel. Even if it is the Mirror Universe. 10 front torpedo launchers! I would definitely not want to be in front of that baby!

This is actually a tough question for me. Going off of shows I would have to choose the Enterprise-D because I did like TNG the most, with TOS right behind it.

Now for looks I think I would have to go with the Enterprise-E

or the 2009 Enterprise

I personally have a lot of favorite ships, But tend to lean towards TOS era ships the most, But on the other hand - The Voyager, and Time Ships do have their charms!
BUT I think my over all Favorite ship was never seen in a movie, or TV show (as far as I know - if it was let me know I would love to see it in action) - The MK-XII Heavy Destroyer "Detroyat" Class Ship NCC-1100 - 258.7 meters in Length, 180 meter beam, 54.9 meter draft, 58 Officers, 257 Crew members, Normal Cruise Speed Warp 7, Max 9.99. It Started life as a Heavy Destroyer, but later became a Scout Class ship, I love the idea of being on a ship just scouting around! - I prefer the TOS warp cells, but Detroyat was refit with "movie era" nacells.

The Relativity.

Think I’d go with the USS Relativity as my favorite ship. Not only can it travel to any time period it wants, but it’s tasked with policing and investigating all those troublesome temporal infractions. I can only imagine what kind of plots a show centered on the Relativity could produce. Kirk going back in time to score with that green girl? Nope, not on their watch. The name’s awfully cool too—sort of a kick in the face of relativity’s theory that time travel is impossible for objects with mass. And unlike the bulk of Federation ships, it’s name doesn’t derive from a previous maritime or space vessel. But it does seriously lack in aesthetics, I’ll admit. The bridge is way too spacious and too sparse to look functional. You’d think for such a large ship blazing through time and space there’d be a bevy of monitors and computers whirring away on the bridge—nope! No, look-wise, the Ambassador class is my favorite. It has those classic TOS nacelles, a ‘neck’ that recalls the Excelsior class from the films, and the saucer of TNG’s Galaxy class—it’s like a buffet; there’s something for everyone!

And the Ambassador.

I've always had a soft spot for the Excelsior class, but I think that the Enterprise B variant (with the side flairs and what I call the "tail lights" on the saucer section) is one of my favorites. Too bad we only got a short look at it in Generations

There seems like a lot more Trek fans since the movie came out. I'm always coming across people--in restaurants, libraries, bookstores, etc--talking about or mentioning something Star Trek related. They vary in age and gender a lot, too. I figure mo…
