I was watching the movie "Apollo 13" yesterday. That is such a great movie. Anyways, I had a thought for another Romulan Wars episode, titled "The Eagle Has Landed." Of course, the title has double meaning, and would be a largely Romulan based episode, but would also pay tribute to our space program, specifically the Apollo program of the 1960's and '70s. My dad worked on the Apollo 11 mission, so it would be a nice tribute to him as well. I get inspired by many things, so hopefully Lee wants to do a lot of different things with this show.

Well, this morning The Romulan Wars should be shooting their location shot, a spaceport scene. Then they will finish up their Elizabeth Cutler scenes. It should go well. I'll keep you posted!

Looking forward to seeing the next two episodes! If what we read is any indication, your script writing skills will definitely improve as you do more episodes. Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming!!

Spoke with Scott Whitehurst (Ensign Simms) and he said things went great.
Apparently I need a lot more work on my work as a script writer, but am thrilled
by everyone's involvement. Sounds as if everything went very smoothly today, and from what I gather, Lee is very efficient and good at what he did. Great job to everybody. I am excited and can't wait to see the results.

Just spoke with Melissa Jecker, the actress playing Elizabeth Cutler in the
episodes that I wrote. She says the shooting is going very well, and that they
are ahead of schedule. I'm am very relieved and glad. Stay tuned for more
updates through the weekend.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know what's going on with production on the next two episodes (yes, I said two). Essentially, we are filming a two parter - "The Wings of Icarus" and "Let The End Try The Man...". I think you will really like these two. This weekend we will be shooting scenes from both episodes. The scenes that we are shooting involve primarily the ensigns, especially Shaw, Chambers, and Simms. We also are filming all the scenes involving Elizabeth Cutler (the character from "Enterprise"). I have talked to all of those actors/actresses, and am extremely impressed and excited with their participation. They should knock this episode out of the park. Saturday, Lee and crew will be doing a location shoot, with the remaining scenes being shot at the studio. Lee has done a tremendous job getting prepared, and we are both excited. Some of the issues that we have run into have to do with logistics, people, money, sets, etc. Because Lee has a group of talent that have to travel to Oklahoma for the shoot, we've had to break up the shooting to accomodate those people. So, this weekend is the Federation filming. The next one will be the Vulcan and Romulan shoot. Another problem has to do with going from a 20 minute episode to a 60 minute episode. There is three times the material to shoot, and hence probably about 10 times the headache. So, the release date for the next episode probably won't be until the August-September timeframe, if I had to guess.

Bottom line, there are a lot of talented people with passion who will be converging upon the Fort Smith, Arkansas area this weekend. Please wish them well and good luck.

And thanks for tuning in...
