QuChal was shocked and amazed at the amount of information she had been able to garner from Quark! She had no latinum, but had managed to save up plenty of credits, and as creepy as it was,she fouund that rubbing his lobes a little didn't hurt either! But she was also feeling sick and disgusted at the news that had come to her. And it was getting around quite quickly as well! That her "friend " from the Academy , whom she had trusted (& suggested for more than 1 choice assignment!) has turned traitor to the Federation, and was covertly conspiring with the rebel Romulan faction!
Surely X'Zarreth must have sensed something?! Did she and Captains Knighton and Picard have knowlwdge of all of this , and for how long? Was this part of the reason she was made acting Captain of the Starfinder. She thought , but only for a second, "were they testing my loyalty and allegience as well?" But in her hearts she had no real worries about this. X'Zarreth knew her FAR too well, they had mind-melded for one thing!
Well, it was time to stop worrying about being rude or breaking protocols. She knew it was time to meet with them NOW,and all of the "beans" had to be "spilled"as humans liked to say. All of the sudden it became clear to "Captain" Solazarn what her mission was NOW! She had to stop Larek from using the Albatross and her crew...turning that fine fine vessel and all of those loyal officers into a rougue ship! The safety of SO many was once again at stake! (And in her mind's eye she saw a vision of Eric's face, and he looked worried.)

QuChal had had a cpl. of cocktails, and was waiting for a chance to have a chat with Quark himself, when she began to hear bits and pieces of conversations that brought her to full alert! This was more than random bar chatter, this was "intel" of a very disturbing nature! It had to do with the very friend and starship Captain she was about to join with in his mission. She moved around from place to place, trying to swagger with an air of nonchalance, so that she could hear more. She ordered a 3rd. drink, and this time time Quark himself was the one who waited on her.He flirted and preened, as he always did, and QuChal took full advantage of it. "I really NEED to talk to You, and I am willing to pay for You time!", she said. Quark perked up even more at her words. "I have more than one thing on My mind, but as of this moment, one is far more critcal than the other!" As Quark ordered another bartender to take his place QuChal focused all of her thought energy towards her dear friend and mentor, the Sovereign. "Hear what transpires at this moment Mistress! It is of the utmost importance!" And she followed Quark as he motioned her to a private room with low blue lights...

No matter how hard QuChal tried to keep her mind on the data stream she was reviewing, thoughts (and feelings) of her dear Eric kept creeping in. She wondered if it was because he was also thinking about her. Did he know...that she was now the Captain of the Starfinder? She thought of the laughter, and the passion, they had shared. And then she wondered if it would be appropriate for her to show up in Quark's for a nightcap. What could it hurt? After all, they had made her "Captain", and then just forgotton about her for the time being. And Quark always had a way of knowing things...perhaps he had heard something about her time traveling lover?

QuChal misses me...I miss her too....but sadly I cannot join her in the 24th century at this time...I work here in this greasy pizza parlor keeping track on the situation here on Earth....it has gotten much worse since I last left here months ago...North Korea Iran Russia...The quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan...Gary Seven asked I stay here to evaulated and assess...He and I both prey Section 31 doesnt get involved in these situations nor any of the other factions dedicated to keeping us safe....Midnight has reverted to human form and is a schoolteacher at a local elementary school keeping an eye on those potental recruits who will help us some day....Oh QuChal...I wish it were easier....

"Captain" Solazarn decided it was time to quit brooding and start working, even though she had still not been "fully" briefed on the "Romulan situation" that was the Albatross' mission. So she started by going through the data concerning the "known" activities of the Romulan Empire. This task alone would prove to be enough to keep her busy until the new mission was "officially" underway.

QuChal found herself pacing the floor of the ready room. She knew that she must cultivate alot more patience to be effective at her new post. She had to laugh at herself. She felt like a spoiled child at the moment,waiting for her "mother"to pay attention to her. She realized ofcourse, that there were things going on behind the scenes that she could not be a part of.But she wasn't jealous...just anxious. And once again she thought of Eric. If only he here were here right now, he could surely take her mind off of all of this for awhile!

*OTR* Majestrix, once more You have continued the story line in a grand manner, complete with more excellent visuals to enhance the scenario! And as always, I am highly impressed. I am just waiting for these "formalities" to wind down, so that we can get to the business of trying to determine what the Romulans are REALLY up to! Sorry I was not able to "get on" sooner, but my boss is here from the Bay Area (and just got back from a 6 weeks business trip to China) , so there was was much "real world" business to contend with. He has not given me My new cell phone yet, hopefully he will -later in the morning. I will be back HERE as soon as my job permits. Qapla! QuChal

HIS SHIP!:...:But Still, He wasn't Worried because He, Actually Trusted The Sovereign More Than ANYONE Else!:...:He Knew Well, that if ANYONE Was capable of Keeping the Lives of The Everyone Involved SAFE, Including The Lives of the Entire Enterprise Crew, that it would Unquestioningly be"Vulcan's Sovereign Empress."::...::And in "thinking back" on it now, Capt. PicardFelt a Special Closeness, to The Sovereign, and an "Inner Pride" in Knowing that of ANYONE He'd Ever Known, that He Trusted HER More than Everyone Else "Put Together," Especially with His Personal Feelings Both, as a Captain, but even More Importantly, as a Human Being:...:Not Even "Amb. Sarek" of Vulcan, came Anywhere Near "As Close" to His Inner-Soul... Not even a "Potent Mind-Meld" which, although Bounded their Souls Together, More Closely than Even FAMILY! That it Still did NotEven NEAR To Compare with, the "Total Trust," which Held in The Sovereign:...: And as He thought back, on the "Breen Mission" and The Sheer Magnitude of Responsability which this had placed this undertaking had Placed "Squarely" on Her Shoulders, when She Cold have been Home on Vulcan Instead::...::He simply turned to face The Sovereign. And without even having to Utter a single word, He assumed a Position where He could be in Close Proximity to Her Majestrix:...: Close Enough, to Gaze into Intensely "Focused Eyes," which were Even "More Brilliant" than the Gems Of Gol!::..::And in that moment, He Proudly placed is arm on Her Shoulder Saying:.

"Majestrix , I've just been informed that Dinnerhas already been Prepared, and is now ready to be Served... "In Addition, I've already made "Prior Arrangements" so that We may Dine in a more "Private Setting" Your Majestrix. "Hopefully, Ted won't take too long."

.::And with that, Capt. Picard Immediately escourted The Sovereign, to the Private Dining area, where they Both Met-up with Capt. Knighton shortly afterwards:.

..::As Dinner commenced::..::Capt. Picard proceeded to pour the Finest Assortment of Drinks which The Enterprise had to offer, into a Glass of the Finest "Stem Wear" made of Expertly-Cut Crystal::..::And He proposed "a Toast" to His Longtime Friend, Ted Knighton :..
