QuChal sent her thoughts to the Sovereign telling her "I will surely need Your help with this mission, Your Majesty. You have been "vizier" to Captains Knighton and Picard, and Kah'Less knows how many countless leaders throughout the Galaxy.The Starfinder and her crew I know well. The Albatross and her Captain (and crew) I also know. Romulans and their sly ways are no strangers to me! But patience and "diplomacy"...that is not the natural way for me. It is no secret to anyone, but no one knows me better than You.Not even myself, I think! What do see in the future for us now? Will I...am I fit to be Captain of this ship?

Cmdr. Solazarn ,indeed, was very relieved to hear that Lt. Polk was alive, but she barely had time to digest this revelation when she was called into a meeting with Capt. Knighton, at which time he told her that he would be away on a "mission" that was so covert and senstive that only Capt. Picard and the Supreme Sovereign were fully aware of the details. And, because of the fact that his absence could be prolonged "indefinately", that he was making her "acting" Captain of the Starfinder until his return!!! Her head was reeling at this moment with all of the thoughts and questions in it, and she hoped that she would (again) prove worthy of the task at hand! To mask her nervousness she made a jovial quip, one she had heard humans say when she was at the Academy. "If My Mama could see Me now!" But she knew that the light -hearted laugh she shared with her Captain might be the last one...at least for awhile! There was So much to learn and do, and she had to start right away!

QuChal did rise, and then bowed deeply. She felt such pride and gratitude at the great honor that was being bestowed upon her. This would bring much honor to the House of Solazarn!
"Your Majesties, It is indeed a great honor and surprise. I humbly accept this Honor, with eternal gratitude to You both. I shall endeavor to always make You proud of me, and I shall never forget all that You have done for me!" The ceremonial bells chimed and a deep solitary drum echoed through the cavernous room of holodeck program created by X'Zarreth especially for the this prestigious occasion. There were fire pots burning and the lighting was a warm red glow. Again QuChal bowed deeply, and then there was the very modern sound of clapping and congratulatory exclamations from all in attendance. Ah...the sound of it. "Commander QuChal-Zantai-Solazarn"!
She had indeed fought bravely for the Federation on many occasions. But it was only the Supreme Sovereign and the Emperor himself who had realized what such an honor would mean to QuChal, and to the House of Solazarn.
Just then Captains Knighton and Picard came up to her and shook her hand, and then her own Captain surprized her with a hug! And Captain Picard's deep voice rose above the other and said " I think this calls for a round of the finest Bloodwine!"
