Trek Stuff
- I don't consider myself a fan so much as an admirer. I love the genre and the universe in general but specifics tend to escape me. I fail at technobabble.
- I'm in many Trek simms, however, and run one myself. Writing is carthartic and also a great form of escapism. Where else do I get to be a hot starship Captain?
- I started watching Trek when I was about 14, so I came kind of late to it. First ever episode I saw was Encounter at Farpoint so I guess it's a miracle I stuck with it. I do love TNG though because it was the series I started with. I have not seen all of DS9 and desperately want to, and I've only seen some Enterprise and TOS. Voyager was a favourite when it was out but having rewatched it recently I realise that it, too, works more in terms of a concept than anything all that brilliant occuring on screen.
