Online Starbase is a Star Trek/Starfleet themed forum. Founded in 2002, it has remained a place of values and respect with an active membership base, and the mission statement of being an active forum community set within a Star Trek frame of reference and using a long-standing promotion criteria. Members begin their Online Starbase career at the entry-level rank of ensign, with opportunities to advance in both rank and assignment dependent on levels of active participation and ability to contribute. Additionally, Online Starbase sets it self apart from other organizations due to the fact ranks are earned through service and positions are granted based on starbase qualifications, positions which are non-simm, and actually operate the website in its many areas.
Online Starbase's first commanding officer was Robert Richardson, who had used his experience from prior military and online trek organizations to develop the basic rank, regulations, and procedural infrastructure still used today. His goals were not to develop the base into a large organization, however, and because of this decision, membership remained small and exclusive for years. Ewan Vanguard, the second officer to promote to the position of starbase commander, made a mark in the direction of the community when one of his first decisions was to move the group to proboards and change the exclusivity of the membership, opening it up to public registration, a decision which would ultimately lead to a much larger membership and exposure on the web. Ryan W. Dean (December 2008-Present) is the most recent officer to advance to the office of Starbase Commander, after 6 years of service to the organization.
Cool bridge pics. I'm Captain Hawk. Commanding Officer of the USS Artemis. I love making new friends and wanted to extend an invitation to you. If you get the itch to join a great ST RPG online, check out my website. I'm currently sharing the site with another ship, the USS Essex. Both ships could always use a great player or the Fleet could use another good CO. Hope you give it a look.
Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Sometimes I was busy, sometimes I was busy doing nothing. I'm going to try to be here more often from now on, though.
I'm requesting help from my fellow right-wingers, on a matter that might at first seem ...
Q is one of my favorite characters. He is teh perfect embodiment of that very Star Trek idea that the beings whom call themselves gods are usually just spoiled children and/or con artists.

I just discovered you here at Trek Space.
I haven't seen you around since the heyday of ASAP.
It good to see that you are still around.
