Why the New Star Trek Movie is A Lot Like My Sims2 Game ...
Some of you are probably wondering what in the world I'm talking about here. Sims2, say what? And how is the new Star Trek movie anything at all like that ... well, that open-ended, hardly classified as a real video game, game?

Touching that Hollow Sky ... And Other Writing Highs
I am wildly excited! My Sim (RPG play by EMail) group has come alive this week like it hasn't in a few months. Who knew that a simple revamping of our website, adding some wonderful 3-D art by a very talented 3-D artist and friend, Jonathan Rich, would serve as a catalyst to my group? Either that, or they just suddenly plugged into the scenario and off we've soared. Certainly, we are bouncing off of each other.

The NAS Ricochet: Five Years Strong . . . and Still Counting!
I got thrown out of a Sim group once. For those who know me that would come as quite a surprise. I'm not exactly a rebel-rouser, nor am I the troublemaker in a group, usually speaking. In fact, I try to stay between the lines without getting strangled by them all the same. :-P Trust me, that's quite a balancing act!

Not Exactly Working On All Thrusters . . .
Ever since my surgery last June I've been struggling to "get back to normal". I sort of feel like Spock after he endured the Fal-tor- Pan, the refusion of his katra and his physical being. For awhile afterward even he was "lost". This was the seventh time I've been knocked out via anesthetics, so I've got a clue what it does to me. Sure feels as if I'm not exactly working on all thrusters, lately!

Hard to believe that one old book, still causes so many problems.
If only people could learn to follow it's teachings, without teaching it's failings. Perhaps this planet could evolve, but while fools teach hate and only see each others differences, we still have a way to travel yet.
Wouldn't it be nice to look at what people have in common, rather than point out the each other's differences?
