We are currently located in the South Burbs of Chicago.
We meet at:
The ZONE Comics in Homewood, IL.
every second Sunday of the month for our chapter meetings and on the fourth Sunday of the month for a casual get together to watch recorded episodes of our favorite shows or sci fi movies or for games.

If interested in becoming involved dont hesitate to get a hold of us.
We would love to meet everyone who loves Trek or Sci-Fi in general. Members of the USS Chicago compose a cross section of science fiction fans, including fans of Star Trek, Star Wars, Farscape, Battlestar Galactica and more. Our membership includes a wide variety of lifestyles, backgrounds, careers, and experiences including military veterans and a published science fiction author. Because of our cross section, we are able to bring to the table a wide variety of interests, not limited to the realm of science fiction.

PASSING OF A STARFLEET OFFICER

It is with heavy heart and deep sympathy that I relay this information.

Rear Admiral Carolyn Zimdahl of The USS Bortas has passed away.

Carolyn was 51 years old she is survived by a daughter Denise and a Grandson Khalil.
Carolyn was the Executive officer of the USS Bortas,
Current Region 12 Awards Director, and
Director for the College of Law for STARFLEET Academy.

Carolyn was very helpful to us when establishing The USS Chicago NCC-75011.

Happy Holidays

The weather outside is frightful in the Chicago area and its negative 6 degrees outside. NEGATIVE 6 !!! and thats before you factor in the wind chill. BRrrrrrrrrrr.............

Our Environmental controls are working overtime and Life support is overloading BUT we are doing what we can to get through this cold snap.

Hope all of you who belong to the human species in this vast universe are staying nice and warm.

A true step to a new day

Tonite, as I watched the elections, I thought - I am part of a new day, I took part in the step of a new day.

Obama elected President is really something that I know will be new and different.

We all know that however you voted, Obama as a whole, as a man, as an idea, is change.

I dont represent any ideas of my crewmates, or suggest they favor either candidate I only reflect personally.

Comic web show taping

Last night two members of our crew finished taping the first episode, of season two, of their Comic Book Web review show.
XO Commander Otilio Puente and Ensign Kevin Ruiz are on the panel of The COMIC CODE.
They review all things involved in the world of comics, toys. sci fi, and topics that happen to come up.
The show is funny at times and heated when they get going.
Last night they reviewed the new Star Trek Comic Mirror Image and a few others including some new Marvel toys out.
