I've been a fan since 1967. Missed the first season of TOS, but I've never missed a beat since. Fave performances: Sole Survivor and a very good episode of Mission Impossible. Of course, Jim Kirk will always be a hero to me.

Yes it is true that over the years Mr. Shatner has mellowed concerning Star Trek but so much so to join a Star Trek based board well I find that very hard to believe. If Jimmy Doohan were still alive I could claim to be him and how would anyone prove it to be false.

A Trekkie since first run of the original series, my appreciation for your role in the franchise has never been greater. I recently went back to some of your best TOS episodes, watched Generations, Motion Picture, and others and collectively came away wondering why I never realized before how hugely important YOU are. I was always one of those annoying brainiac females with a thing for Spock, and while Mr. Nimoy has also been important to the franchise, I don't think there would ever have been any more Trek without you as Kirk in the original series. Thank you so much for all you have given me.
