I remember watching Star Trek with my dad once a week , snuggled up to him on the couch. Who cares what the show was, the snuggling was the good memory! I do remember seeing the Horta. I thought they were interesting creatures.

I've thought about that question before, and I do believe the VERY first episode I saw as a child was TOS Ep The Menagerie, which was being run as "a two hour special" at the time.

"Journey to Babel" on video. I still think that's an epitome episode of TOS; The introduction of the Vulcan salute, Spock's parents, the Tellarites and the Andorians, Kirk bouncing off the wall in a rousing TOS brawl.

The Trouble with Tribbles!!! That was practically the first science fiction show I'd ever seen!

a place for we trek fans who prowl late at night and listen to the show riddled with conspiracy theories, scientific theories, extraterrestrial intelligence, the paranormal and so on. Once hosted by Art Bell now hosted by equally good George Noory.

FIRST BORN SON BORN TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Today my wife brought into the world a new Lukehart. At 1128 EST, our son Samuel was born in Wadsworth, OH. My wife, Angela did a tremendous job and was very brave. There were no complications in the 15 hour labor period and the delivery only took three good efforts on Angela's part and Sam was out and free. I pulled him out with my bare hands (with verbal guidance from our midwife). I caught him and handed him to my wife. It was a most wonderful experience. His borg designation among our childr… Continue

MEMBER NUMBER 1701 ARRIVES

As I predicted a few months ago, member number 1701 arrived at about 800 est on 6 July. I believed the 1701st member would be here by early july as noted in the forum concerning this. Lara is her name and all of us should give her a proper welcome for reaching the number that we all cherish....

Now...what about the future...why dont some of us start coming up with good numbers to shoot for next! The universe is our oyster! Lets see where trekspace will continue to go!!!!

The circle is now complete

I wrote last week that my family was moving to N.E. Ohio. Well, the journey is over (actually it began and ended yesterday) and we are now installed in our new domiscile in Rittman, OH. Its a quiet spot we live in. our house is twice as far from the street as our old one. the yard is somewhat larger, and there arent as many people here...only about 8000, compared to the hundreds of thousand in the Louisville area. watching my oldest daughter, Kira play in the the yard and driveway made the move… Continue

Moving to northeast Ohio

Come friday, 13 June 2008, my family will be officially leaving Louisville, KY after 6 years here. Our destination is Rittman, OH...south of Cleveland. Its about a 6 hour trek.

Anyway, I was approved a transfer to Akron-Canton Regional Airport, where I will continue to work for TSA. It was necessary that this move happen, but I must say the feelings are still mixed. There are many friends my wife and I will leave behind. Some of them, Bortas, Chuck and Between2worlds, are on here. I will talk t… Continue

I think the manliest guy in the new film is Karl Urban's McCoy, despite having so little to do in the story. Chris Pine would've been perfect for a new Flash Gordon adap. He is passable as Kirk. Shatner's personality, acting style and body langua...

I think he does pay homage to the original, in smaller ways but noticeable ways- at least I thought so. There is a bit of the Kirk swagger there, in the way he enters the bridge in the last scene. He enters, pauses, then walks to the chair talking...

Those tales could be incorporated in any one of the role plays here- as there is nothing that says the role plays have to take place at any particular time.
