- Hi, my name is Brad and I am an addict. Sorry, wrong meeting. I consider myself a recovering sinner hoping, one day, to be able to call myself a Christian. Used to be a police officer(22 years), retired Army Reservist(18 years & 6 years active Air Force, Vietnam era vet though thru the Grace of God I did not serve in Vietnam), currently a police dispatcher(I get paid to tell cops where to go, neat huh?) I have been married since 1973 to LuAnn: my best friend, my lover, my conscience, my earthly guide, my partner & soul mate. Our son lives and works in Boston. Our daughter graduated from Ithaca College in 2005 and works in Ithaca, NY. I am active with Kairos Prison Ministry. I have been a Trek fan since the original series first aired.

What's happening?
I haven't been part of Trekspace for very long and I wonder why so many of you don't want to belong any more? I realize it's you right and I don't mean to be a wise guy about it, I am just curious. Is something going on that I am missing?

Trek Junkie said… - No Way! He was a a Crew Captain in a different unit at the time we met and now he rides a desk. I haven't dispatched for over 13 years now. When I traqnsferred to marry Ned, the only job I could get was clerical. I do miss the excitement, but not the stress.

- Dude, I was just reading your profile to my husband. He is a fire chief for CalFire and we met at a basecamp. I was a dispatcher for 7.5 years. I used to tell people that my job was to tell men where to go, where to get off at and what to do when they got there! Love it! My husband is my best friend too! Nice to be your friend...
