Without anyone to say otherwise it certainly appears to have been permanently reset.

It's amusing to see so much romanticizing of the old Trek and exaggerating it's "value" to degrade the new movie. Typical.
So I finish off by saying that this new Star Trek was in NO WAY better than Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Allow me to say that it IS better than TMP, in my opinion. Wow, we have a dilemma.

Then I guess that "red matter" that Nero had stolen from spock that he used to travel back in time was nothing afterall.

When I was in 8th grade, I tried applying the word 'aye' to every day life. Low and behold, my principal got a kit our of this, and I received several well deserved laughs to my face. Oh how we learn and grow, lol.
