If you think you know all about TOS, think again. I thought I did, and I was surprised to learn a few new things from the man who made it all happen.
Starbase 66, the International Star Trek and Science Fiction Podcast, was fortunate to book Herbert F. Solow, the legendary producer of Star Trek, the Original Series, for the latest episode. Listen in as the man who brought Gene Roddenberry's vision to life takes us back to the 1960s to correct old misconceptions, offer up the inside scoop…

Please forgive me for taking so long to post this. I should have split this in half but I got so caught up in writing it. You know how us writers get. Once we get started on a project, it's hard to STOP. . . . . :}!
Today I woke up earlier than Z, which was really shocking because he's the official early riser in the family. In the family, I like the sound of that.
Anyway, it must have been all of that War Nog and Klingon Blood Wine. I only had a quarter of a cup and I was ready to cra…

Starbase 66, the international Star Trek and Science Fiction podcast, was honored to speak at length with Herb Solow, Executive in Charge of Production on the original Star Trek. If Gene Roddenberry was the seed of Star Trek, Herb Solow was the soil, and the water, and the sunlight. He spoke with us of getting the show on the air, and helped to dispel some of the clinging myths of Trek lore. We also spoke of Mission: Impossible, and other shows, and got his opinion on the new movie. You can down…

I send much angels, zedans and venusians love, light and prayers for victims and their families who suffer in a horrible shooting in Fort Hood, Texas yesterday. May Jesus and all angel, angelic beings and lightbeings give them healing comforting love, strength and much love to help them through and healing process. May they be with them always at their side to wash away the tears from their eyes and heal their pain and suffering with their pure love and pure light.

How To Not Piss Off A Stripper
By Av Flox on September 15, 2009
I realize this article is going to make me the ultimate terrorist of fantasy, but I refuse to let any more of you make an ass out of yourselves at strip clubs.
Several articles have undertaken the task of explaining why guys feel drawn to the strip club experience: naked chicks, unknown naked chicks, unknown naked chicks who will show interest in you no matter who you are or what you look like, the ability to pick and choose from a…

Following Benford's Law, or Looking Out for No. 1
By MALCOLM W. BROWNE
Published: Tuesday, August 4, 1998
DR. THEODORE P. HILL asks his mathematics students at the Georgia Institute of Technology to go home and either flip a coin 200 times and record the results, or merely pretend to flip a coin and fake 200 results. The following day he runs his eye over the homework data, and to the students' amazement, he easily fingers nearly all those who faked their tosses.
''The truth is,'' he said in an…

For those who don't know , my girlfriend {soon to be in about 2 weeks wife} Kim and I are haveing a baby. It is expected in around May 2010. We went through possiable baby names and this is what we came up with. For a girl Katherina Ezri Schmidt for a girl or Benjaman Jake Schmidt for a boy.
The only part I found disturbing was my soon to be wife wanted to use too many Trek names. It's not that bad I guess just different to me.
Well I got to go for now

Racial hope fades despite Obama

In my favorite "Star Trek" episode, Capt. James T. Kirk and the crew of the Starship Enterprise encountered humanoids from a planet embroiled in war over an issue as clear as black and white.
Literally.
The planet Cheron is locked in a race war. This astonishes earthlings. To us, all Cheronians look alike. Their skin is evenly divided, half black and half white, right down the middle of their faces and bodies.
A perplexed Cap…
