Mike Murphy's "Suka--a Paul Murdock Novel"

Hello-o-o-o, TrekSpace! Wah! I tried to slow down because I didn’t want it to end! But it was too good and I just had to finish it. LOL Not that! You naughty spacers! I’m talking about Mike Murphy’s “Suka”. Mike is a member here. I was reading his page and—holy starships! --I see the cover of his LATEST novel. Well I’ve found some really good reading on this site. Poetry, stories, inspired stuff. Mike Murphy writes…novels! Great cover—the onion domes of St.Basil’s. Gotta check it. So I waltz ov… Continue

All-Call for help locating Robert Fletcher's Wardrobe Designer Personal Notes of Star Trek I, II, and III (etc)

Hi, Trekspace Friends! Does anyone possess this elusive book? I can't find it on the Web, at the Roddenberry Store or on Amazon. Here is the info I have been able to gather about it: Title: Robert Fletcher's Wardrobe Designer Personal Notes of Star Trek I, II, and III (and) Star Trek Starfleet Uniform Construction Manual (Paperback) by Robert Fletcher and J. E. Brooks. Description: Two titles bound together in a format resembling a school report, with plastic clasp and covered with clear vinyl.… Continue

July, 1969--where were you?

This month being the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 flight to the moon, the successful walk by astronauts on our little gray satellite, and their safe return, how about it? Were you born yet? I was twenty, nearing the end of a junior half-year in Rome, Italy, studying Latin and Greek. (Definitely heading for a career in astrophysics!) The program I was in took a group of about thirty college students from institutions all over the country and housed us in a small convent-run hostel on the… Continue

Another Double Dumb A** tech question--help???!!!

Hi, Team! I have received the most kind permission of a Trekspace member to post pone of his pictures to one of my groups of interest here. Is there a way for me to do this MYSELF? Or do I have to ask him to do it for me? I've figured out how to send people's photos to my email address ("sharing" this is called"-), but I don't yet see a way to convert other peoples' pictures to downloadable items that can then be used as transferable "files". Thanks in advance! KAI the technicians! Sue Continue

Feeling that "Attitude of Gratitude":-)

I hope this is a reasonable place to drop these thoughts— I can’t remember how I tumbled over TREKSPACE just a few days ago, but I am filled with admiration. After several years of deep involvement with ST fandom (of the Klingon variety) back in the late eighties early nineties, I retired. The zine editing I had been doing, rewarding as it was, was incredibly expensive of time and money. The fandom was rapidly finding its way to online publishing and listserves and the hardcopy work I had been d… Continue

Thanks for the Patrick Stewart?Clive James Interview link!

Hi, Jayne! I had to pop back to tell you how much I enjoyed the Times interview with Stewart/Picard. Stewart's presence in the TNG series and his Royal Shakespeare background lent the show a whole new glamour. The piece reminded me of the thrill I felt when our local PBS channel started broadcasting Blake's 7 years in the late eighties. Friends and I were passing around 5th-generation VCR tapes of the shows and staying up past midnight on work nights to catch the broadcasts. The actors with the… Continue

There seems like a lot more Trek fans since the movie came out. I'm always coming across people--in restaurants, libraries, bookstores, etc--talking about or mentioning something Star Trek related. They vary in age and gender a lot, too. I figure mo…
