Happy New Year, Trekspace! Here's hoping that we all have a fun and healthy new year. There's just one thing I ask of all of you. Please don't pass judgment on the new Star Trek movie until you actually see it. There hasn't been any new Star Trek on television for almost 8 years now, so we have to take whatever we can get. I didn't think that the last movie was all that bad, and when you consider that almost everyone from the original series is now either elderly or dead, they came up with a pretty clever way to restart the franchise. So please, keep an open mind and hope for the best.

Happy New Year, Mike.  I am eagerly awaiting the new movie will continue to avoid all detailed discussion about the subject until after I see it.  I am very excited about it and if by some odd chance, I dislike the new movie then I'll just continue to enjoy the other aspects of the franchise until something new comes along.  Dead or elderly-not on my screen!

I agree. Can't wait. I do love reading all the speculation, and, yes, the arguments, as well, though, I'll admit. There are some knowledgeable people, out there....and they ALL have an opinion, it seems :)

I agree with you Mike, I used to have a saying, 'when your crawling through the desert, you don't cry out for champagne, water will do', does not exactly fit, but, almost ;)
